Still sore...

I'm in this picture. Sadly I, along with all the other customers, are now swimming the rapid aptly named "Godzilla". For more fun and excitement, we rode "Humongous" on our backsides, too. Both are part of the Upper Ocoee's "Olympic Course", the portion of the river used for the whitewater events in the 1996 Summer Olympic Games. The river is dam controlled, and because the rescue efforts took a while, we were unable to finish the run. Oh well, we have a new challenge for next year. I'll post more pictures when I find them. Meanwhile, I need to stretch -- It's still hurting a week later.

One other note -- for those that know them, James Garbarino and Meghan Davenport got engaged last weekend. Congrats! Now all we need is Mr. BennyJ to make a political cartoon out of that event somehow...

Hurricane Katrina

My thoughts and prayers are with those still trying to escape the gulf region, and those who escaped with nothing to return to. At right is a picture I took at 35,000 ft. flying over north Alabama/Mississippi mid-morning this past Monday.
