New York, London, and Paris are all vying for the 2012 Olympic Games. Paris was particularly nuts about it. Their little "Paris 2012 Ville Candidate" signs were all over government buildings, flags flying in touristy spots, and as noted in this picture, on the Eiffel Tower.

They can have it as far as I'm concerned. It just costs too much to "guarantee safety" these days.

Me, climing the stairs of the Eiffel Tower. Okay, so I didn't actually climb up the Eiffel Tower, I went down. Well, I went down a little bit of it. Okay, so it was only a tenth of the total distance. It felt like a long way in the cool, windy Parisian spring air! Details, details...

We passed this car on a street in Paris and I just had to get a picture. It's pathetic. I'm standing about two or three feet (<1m) from the car. It's that small. I'm pretty sure if you wanted it's parking space you could just lift it out of the way. Hmm...I wish I had tried that.

Amanda outside Louis Vuitton's shop on the Champs Elysees. It's undergoing remodelling to look like a giant piece of their luggage. I think I'll just leave that alone.
