Water in Cozumel

Water in Cozumel

Here's another picture of the sea water in Cozumel.

Cozumel

I guess this sign on a street side shop in Cozumel pretty much summed up the
place: touristy.

This was the color of the water as we stepped off the boat in Cozumel.
Quite beautiful!

Chichen Itza

Chichen Itza

The Mayan ruins at Chichen Itza, in the Yucatan. Quite impressive, I
thought. They had a rather strange value for life, though. There was a
"stadium" among the ruins here where some form of ancient game was played -
the rings through which the ball was to pass are still visible. The winners
of said game were sacrificed. The tour guide was telling us how great this
was - though I'm afraid I'm still a skeptic.

We passed this guy walking through the streets of Belize City. He said
"hey, how you guys doing" in a very friendly voice. I guess he just didn't
look as friendly as he sounded to me.

Is a five hour nap still considered a nap?

I got home from my lab today, and after being tired all day, decided that a short nap was in order. I was thinking maybe half an hour. Apparently my body was thinking a little more than half an hour, because I didn't stir until 10pm, five hours after I began this "short nap". Now it's 1:30 am, and I'm not the least bit tired. Blah. Well, I think I may as well just lie down until I fall asleep...good night!
