Ryan Patton's Thoughts...
I'm still thinking, it just happens a little less frequently than it once did.

Chichen Itza

The Mayan ruins at Chichen Itza, in the Yucatan. Quite impressive, I
thought. They had a rather strange value for life, though. There was a
"stadium" among the ruins here where some form of ancient game was played -
the rings through which the ball was to pass are still visible. The winners
of said game were sacrificed. The tour guide was telling us how great this
was - though I'm afraid I'm still a skeptic.

Is a five hour nap still considered a nap?
I got home from my lab today, and after being tired all day, decided that a short nap was in order. I was thinking maybe half an hour. Apparently my body was thinking a little more than half an hour, because I didn't stir until 10pm, five hours after I began this "short nap". Now it's 1:30 am, and I'm not the least bit tired. Blah. Well, I think I may as well just lie down until I fall asleep...good night!
